Stormwater
Stormwater is water that originates from rain including snow and ice melt. Stormwater can soak into the soil, be stored on the land surface in ponds and puddles, evaporate or runoff. Most runoff is conveyed directly to nearby streams, rivers or other water bodies without treatment.

Roofwater
Roofwater generally refers to the rainwater that falls on a roof. This requires downpipes and gutters that allow the water to reasonably drain from your property and not allow the water flow to collect and stagnate. This does not apply to dams, ponds, rainwater tanks and wetlands.
